In our holiday home and in the surrounding area you have numerous opportunities to make your leisure time an experience. Whether playing football or barbecuing in the garden or swimming, fishing and boating on your own stretch of beach, deceleration starts right at the house.
In the endless forests of the area you can also look for a moose or two while looking for mushrooms and berries. In and on one of the many streams and lakes and while hiking in an incredible landscape you can let your mind wander and then end the evening at the campfire.

Raft trip on the Klarälven
In addition to an eventful raft trip, the Klarälven also offers beaches and sand islands that invite you to go ashore and spend an evening around the campfire. Day and multi-day tours, e.g. 3 days from Stöllet to Gunnerud approx. 50 km.

Ski / Ekesberget
The small ski area in Ekshärad, has 5 runs, 2 lifts and a total height of 110 meters. In addition to the slopes, there is a (free) ice rink and a sledge run.

Ski / Hovfjället
Sweden's southernmost mountains
Hovfjället has a lot of snow both on the slopes and off-road, even in low-snow winters. For safety, you still have a system of high-capacity snow cannons. 13 descents wind down the mountain. At the top of the mountain are the lightest slopes and the ski school. There is also an area for children and a ski kindergarten as well as a warming room and a restaurant.
Hovfjället summit also offers gorgeous views of the wintry Finnish forest and the surrounding nature reserve. 60 km of cross-country trails offer a memorable nature experience.

Ski / Branäs
On the Branäsberg is one of Sweden's most modern ski facilities with 21 runs, 415 meters of drop and 2 km of uninterrupted skiing. There is also one of Sweden's two gondola lifts, which is also open during the summer.
From the summit of the Branäsberg, choose your own route: from difficult, black and red marked runs to easy, blue marked and family-friendly slopes. Four drag lifts give you plenty of time to ski. The terrain of the Branäsberg is a challenge for snowboarders. Or you try your hand at Telemark - the classic downhill style. Branäs is also open until 7 p.m. and floodlit in the evening. There are also cross-country trails.

Cross-country skiing
Cross-country skiing can be done in almost every larger community. You can find groomed trails in Ekshärad, Torsby, Lekvattnet, among others. You can find out more at the above addresses.

Ice fishing
Winter fishing? But yes. Come ice fishing with us on one of the countless lakes in the area. All you need is special equipment and someone who knows where to make the biggest catch. You get both from us. And in between, our warm-up guide will serve you hot glögg and fragrant gingerbread. An exciting experience for big and small anglers (of course also for beginners). Snowshoe tours
Experience winter with us a little differently.
Off the beaten track, cross-country trails and ski slopes, we explore the deeply snow-covered forests of Värmland on snowshoes in Jack London's footsteps. Snowshoeing is not difficult to learn. We discover the winter forest on various routes with different levels of difficulty, which we adapt to your wishes, and go on a trail search with you.
